I’m so glad you’re here. Let me tell you a bit about myself, the heart behind Sleep Thrive Grow, and why I’m so passionate about what I do.

When I became a mum for the first time at 26, I had no idea how unprepared I’d feel. I still remember the magic of meeting my baby for the first time, amidst the chaos of an emergency C-section (a wild story for another day!) but the magic didn’t look the way I’d expected.

That instant bond people talk about? Nowhere to be found. My newborn didn’t do the sleepy newborn thing either! No dreamy pictures with closed eyes. He arrived wide-eyed, curious, and very much awake!

For the first time in my life, I felt completely out of control, and that terrified me. Suddenly, I was responsible for understanding every cry, every cue, and what I was internalising as fixing everything. As a Registered Nurse, I was used to trusting my intuition with patients. But as a new mum? Anxiety completely smothered that intuition. I searched for answers in google, books and advice, desperate to get it “right.”

The first baby sleep book I read, written by another Registered Nurse, was a turning point.

Her calm, flexible approach gave me the guidance I was looking for with a clearer understanding of development, alongside foundation to trust myself again. I started experimenting and learning what worked for my baby.

My confidence grew, not because I found the magic formula, but because I finally made space for biology and intuition to sit side by side.

With my second and third children, my understanding of sleep deepened, and people naturally began seeking my advice. Friends, family, even strangers asked questions, without me saying a word, it was crazy!

I realised I had something valuable to share, so I became a certified baby and toddler sleep consultant. The science of sleep fascinated me, but I quickly saw that rigid methods weren’t enough. Sleep isn’t about following a script, it’s about connection, trust, and balance.

That’s why I expanded my expertise to become a mind-body practitioner. Now I combine science with intuition, logic with compassion.

I’m proud to call myself both a sleep coach and a parent mentor because the journey is about so much more than sleep.

It’s about understanding, connection, and guiding your children with confidence rather than control.

My approach centres on you as much as your baby, because when parents feel calm, confident, and supported, their children thrive. Sleep doesn’t have to be stressful or filled with tears. Together, we can create a peaceful, personalised path to sleep that feels right for your family.

When I’m not coaching, you’ll find me spending time with my family, catching up with friends, or taking much-needed alone time to recharge. I love hiking, dancing, live music, podcasts, and getting lost in a great book, usually learning something more about personal growth, parenting, and nervous systems if I’m hones

My soul is truly happiest outdoors, soaking up nature’s gifts. Check out this picture a few years ago of me and my family without a care in the world somewhere in the cape range national park on our off-grid drive through the centre of Australia (that’s un-rubbed in suncream on my son’s face if you’re wondering!)!

For my family, nothing beats a sky full of stars and the sound of a fire cracking and burning without any other distractions…maybe just a few cheeky prosecco bubbles popping too!

Jen is a Registered Nurse with over 13 years of diverse experience in medical, paediatric, and surgical settings.

As an internationally certified baby and toddler sleep consultant and mind-body practitioner, Jen integrates her medical background with holistic practices to support families.

She holds certifications in Mindful Parenting and is committed to ongoing learning in early parenting and personal development.

With five years of experience as a sleep coach and parent mentor, Jen has guided over 600 families in one-on-one settings, empowering parents to foster healthy sleep habits and nurturing environments for their children.
